The
Rule of the Kings
Part
IIIB:
Man
as the Temple of God
(Edition 2.0 20120326-20191123)
In Part III (A) we saw the Key of David and the place of Solomon in the Temple of God and its place in the coming of the Messiah. In this section we see the Spiritual Temple of God in man and its relationship to the DNA structure of humans and the relationship of the books of the Bible to explain the plan of Salvation and the Temple of God as the human creation.

Rule of the Kings Part IIIB:
Man as the Temple of God
Introduction
In the paper Rule of the Kings Part III:
Solomon and the Key of David (No. 282C) the temple and the Key of David
were explained but the structure of the Temple as a Spiritual Force in Human
Beings was not explained and nor was the role of the Bible as the word of God
explained. This paper takes Part III on to the Spiritual Temple and explains
the Bible in relation to the Temple.
The
Bible as the Word of God
The Bible is made up
of 66 books divided into two parts termed Old Testament and New Testament
although it was originally published in the KJV in six parts which is the
number of man.
The structure of the
Bible is:
Old Testament
The OT is comprised of
12 books from Genesis to 2Kings, then 14 books with 1 and 2Chronicles. These
numbers have significance making two sections of seven as complete numbers
making 14.
The Restoration of the
structure of the Law was completed in the 15th and 16th
books of Ezra and Nehemiah. The structure to the Completion of the Temple was
in 22 books ending in the Song of Solomon. The Hebrew alphabet is 22 letters
and the number 22 signifies completion.
The 23rd
book was Isaiah. In Isaiah 53:4-5 we are given the structure and meaning of the
Messiah who was the Beginning of the Spiritual Temple and its High Priest. It
was this text that the Ethiopian Eunuch was reading and was explained its
significance by Philip and then he was baptised and enabled to attain the Holy
Spirit. Philip was then miraculously removed from sight.
This number comes to
indicate the significance of man in the scheme of creation.
So the 23rd book of the Bible relates
to the number of Chromosomes in the human body and refers to the Human DNA
structure with which man was created in order to receive the Holy Spirit through
the sacrifice of Christ and contains 46 points to the suffering of Christ which
is the number of pairs of the Human DNA system and is represented by the
Pillars of the Temple of God as we will see below.
The OT continues on
with the remainder of the Major Prophets of Jeremiah and his Lamentations and
also Ezekiel and Daniel who are concerned with the structure of the Creation
and the completion of the First phase to the First Resurrection which is the
Naos or Holy of Holies. That is 27 books
to that sequence. The next sequence is
the 12 Minor Prophets which deal with the end of the First phase and the construction
of the Millennial Temple under Messiah. The OT contains 39 inspired works in
all.
New Testament
The NT is comprised of
Four Gospels and the Book of Acts which are five works leading up to the
receipt of the Holy Spirit of Grace in Acts, and the establishment of the
Church of God as the Temple of God. There are then Seven Church epistles
numbering nine books that show the interrelationship of the Seven Churches of
God.
Corinthians and
Thessalonians are in two works making the nine books. 1Corinthians is the 46th
work which tells us that we are the Naos or Temple of God. The number 46 is the
measurement of the Pillars of the Temple of God and also the number of the
pairs in the strands of human DNA and points to the fact of the human creation
in its ultimate DNA structure as the Temple of God and shows us the purpose of
the creation of all mankind. The two pillars also point to the two kinds of DNA
and the X and Y chromosomes: X in the mtDNA of the female and the Y of the male
YDNA system.
The last section is
the Twelve Books of the structure of the personal epistles from I and II
Timothy, Titus, Philemon, Hebrews, James,
I and II Peter, I, II, and III
John, and Jude making the 65th book.
Jude was the Brother of Christ and refers to the Faith Once Delivered which was the purpose of the inspired texts
and which made the twelfth personal epistle. Twelve is complete number.
Revelation is the 27th
Book of the NT and the 66th book of the inspired text signifying the
complete creation of man. Thirteen is the Number of Rebellion and the text of
Revelation is the fourth work of John. John 1 starts with the manifestation of
the Light and the fellowship of man with God and Christ who was the advocate
with the Father for all who sinned.
Chapter 2 details the necessity of keeping the commandment of God and in
such person the love of God is perfected and the sins of the world are overcome
through the Holy Spirit which is the teacher of all mankind. Chapter 3 shows that through that overcoming
we are now the sons of God and we are not known by the world. In 3:4 we are
told that sin is transgression of the law and we cannot avoid sin unless we
keep the law. John is concerned in the epistles with preparing us for the Last
Days. Revelation, the Thirteenth work in this series and the last text, is of
the number of Rebellion. Revelation is
the message to the Seven Churches of Asia.
It shows us that we have been made kings and priests unto our God. It
concerns the Alpha and Omega the lord which is explained in the text Arche of the Creation of
God as Alpha and Omega (No. 229). Chapters 2 and 3 deal with the problems of
the Seven Churches up until the coming of the Messiah. From chapter 4 we see
the Throne of God and the seven spirits of God that are among the seven
churches. The Books of the Seven Seals
are then opened and the Lamb is found worthy to uncover the Mysteries of God,
and the consequences of False Religion are revealed from the Seven Seals to the
Fifth Seal and the Coming of the Messiah to save mankind from itself and to
commence the Rule of God through the Holy Spirit under Messiah is then
explained in detail. Rebellion results in the complete destruction of those in
rebellion and in Revelation 12:17 and 14:12 we are shown that the elect of God
are those that keep the Commandments of God and the Testimony or Faith of Jesus
Christ. The false religious system of Babylon, the mystery system which rules
the world, and its destruction are explained in chapter 18 and in 19 we see,
from its destruction, the development and worship of the heavens in the Kingdom
of God, and the Marriage Supper of the lamb is held and the elect are set aside
in the First Resurrection. In Chapter 20
the sequence of the First and Second Resurrections and the Great White Throne
Judgment are explained and the sequence ends in Chapters 21 and 22 with the
City of God and the purpose of the creation in the universe is revealed in the
Mysteries of God. The complete system is revealed in 22 Chapters with the Holy
Spirit making us all sons of God with the Heavenly Host and the physical
creation is ended in 66 books with its entire purpose explained. The next
sequence is not yet explained as the Spiritual Creation will be extended as the
seventh system in another eleven sections yet to be written as the final
elements of the Key of David in the Spiritual Temple of the City of God.
We will now return to
Part III (A) to examine the section of Solomon’s Temple.
The First
Temple
“David passed the rule to Solomon in the First year of the 61st Jubilee. The preparation began so that the Temple could be built for the Reading of the Law in that Jubilee. It was to take twenty years to complete the House of God and the King’s house and the other houses (see below). The completion of it all was done by the 25th year of the 61st Jubilee.
The Temple was commenced in the Fourth year of Solomon’s reign, the year 968 BCE.
The entire construction and outfitting of the House of God and the associated buildings was completed in the Seventh Month called Ethanim, or Tishri, and the Feast was held for 14 days.”
The original Tabernacle and the giving of the law extended over six months and Moses went up and down the mountain six times and completed all his tasks by the end of Elul so that the month of Tishri was held Holy from the Day of Trumpets. The Month of Sivan represented the beginning of the giving of the law and it was complete by Elul. Trumpets represented the Coming of the Messiah in the Seventh month to begin the Seventh Millennium from the Creation (cf. also The Ascents of Moses (No. 070)).
The First Temple however was not completed by Tabernacles.
To continue on from Part III (A)
“As we see below, the actual construction of the building itself took seven years and seven months and was completed in the Eighth month of the Eleventh year of Solomon’s reign. The completion was thus not in time for the Feast of Tabernacles in that year.”
So the Feast itself formed part of the time of the construction of the temple. We are holding these Feasts of God and in the process we are constructing man as the Temple of God. Without those Feasts and Holy Days we are not perfecting the Temple as a spiritual edifice as we are required to do. So it is not an accident that in the first part of the year of construction the Temple festivals were part of the sequence of the construction. All of this is done to teach us how to become the spiritual Temple of God and we can only do that by keeping the physical Laws of God and the festivals all the way through to the Last Great Day. In this way we effectively become a spiritual edifice.
We have to understand the significance of the Calendar and live through it as part of the construction so that we as human beings become the Temple of God and that’s how we can become elohim. We are going to be above the calendar and the calendar relates to the human creation. When we are finished the human creation and built the City of God after the second resurrection and God comes to the earth and the angelic Host and human Host are together as part of the spiritual City of God, the calendar as we understand it will not be in effect for all of us because we will go on to new planets, new solar systems, new galaxies and the calendars will be different. So this sequence that we know of going around the sun 365¼ days every year and the moon of twelve months with an intercalary month will change so the Temple of God will change because it will be spread throughout the universe. The universe will be run from the earth and yes we will be having that sequence but it will be many people going to many galaxies and changing the system so it’s not quite as simple as us keeping the calendar here. We are growing and the calendar allows us to become spirit beings. It’s part of the development of the Temple.
“Thus there is another significance to this period. The Temple was commenced after the Passover, in the Second month of the Fourth year of Solomon and completed in the Eighth month of Bul, or Heshavan (October/November in the 487th year from the Exodus, being the year 961 BCE).”
These time sequences also form a part of the Key of David. The time-frames mentioned separately are also of significance to the period of the Last Days from the return of the Messiah and the establishment of the Spiritual Temple, and the final completion of the physical structure of the Temple in Jerusalem.”
Thus the key of David is also part of the time sequences and the symbolism of the Construction of the Physical and the Spiritual Temple points to the conversion of the Gentiles and how they fit into the Temple as the Church of God.
“By the 28th year of the Jubilee the Law was read in the House of God in Jerusalem. The entire period of construction covered 21 years of the Sanctification for the Temple. By the Sabbath year it was ready. The 29th year commenced another 21 years of the period leading up to the Jubilee, and thus the nation was sanctified over that period also. It was then to be three thousand years until the establishment of the millennial reign of Jesus Christ at the 120th Jubilee of the creation from the closure of Eden, which is due in 2027 CE.
The next 60 Jubilees were to mark the construction of the physical system and its passing into the spiritual system of the Church and the government of God. It is clear that God works to the Jubilee system and uses periods of Jubilees in blocks of 10, 20 and 40.
From the OT texts it is clear that a Messiah had to arise in the Jubilee of 27 CE and his ministry had to commence in 28 CE. He had to die to save sinners. It is equally clear that he had to make Atonement and he had to return as the King Messiah. That time-frame had to cover the six thousand years of the creation of God and end with the 120th Jubilee in 2027.
From that time the period of Messianic Rule would commence from 2028 to 3027, being the Sabbath rest of the Messiah. After that period comes the Judgment following the Second or General Resurrection of the Dead.
The texts read:
1Kings 6:1-38 And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD. 2And the house which king Solomon built for the LORD, the length thereof was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits. 3And the porch before the temple of the house, twenty cubits was the length thereof, according to the breadth of the house; and ten cubits was the breadth thereof before the house. 4And for the house he made windows of narrow lights. 5And against the wall of the house he built chambers round about, against the walls of the house round about, both of the temple and of the oracle: and he made chambers round about: 6The nethermost chamber was five cubits broad, and the middle was six cubits broad, and the third was seven cubits broad: for without in the wall of the house he made narrowed rests round about, that the beams should not be fastened in the walls of the house. 7And the house, when it was in building, was built of stone made ready before it was brought thither: so that there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building. 8The door for the middle chamber was in the right side of the house: and they went up with winding stairs into the middle chamber, and out of the middle into the third. 9So he built the house, and finished it; and covered the house with beams and boards of cedar. 10And then he built chambers against all the house, five cubits high: and they rested on the house with timber of cedar.
The stones of the Temple were made ready elsewhere and brought to the site. In the same way the living stones are made ready away from Jerusalem and brought there for the establishment of the Spiritual Temple at the return of Christ. They are perfect, and required no work on site, being a building fitly framed together.
There are thus two phases to the construction: one in the establishment of the Living Stones; the other in the physical system under the Law at Jerusalem.”
The two different aspects of the structure were conditional to obedience to the word of God which of itself represented the creation and the purpose of the creation in the two aspects of 66 books of the word of God for which purpose Christ came in two aspects, one as the Angel of the Presence or Memra and the other as the Son of Man as the physical Logos. We continue on with Part III (A).
“In the construction of the Temple the word of God then was given to Solomon, establishing a covenant with Israel that was conditional to obedience.
11And the word of the LORD came to Solomon, saying, 12Concerning this house which thou art in building, if thou wilt walk in my statutes, and execute my judgments, and keep all my commandments to walk in them; then will I perform my word with thee, which I spake unto David thy father: 13And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel. 14So Solomon built the house, and finished it. 15And he built the walls of the house within with boards of cedar, both the floor of the house, and the walls of the cieling: and he covered them on the inside with wood, and covered the floor of the house with planks of fir. 16And he built twenty cubits on the sides of the house, both the floor and the walls with boards of cedar: he even built them for it within, even for the oracle, even for the most holy place. 17And the house, that is, the temple before it, was forty cubits long. 18And the cedar of the house within was carved with knops and open flowers: all was cedar; there was no stone seen. 19And the oracle he prepared in the house within, to set there the ark of the covenant of the LORD. 20And the oracle in the forepart was twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in the height thereof: and he overlaid it with pure gold; and so covered the altar which was of cedar. 21So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold: and he made a partition by the chains of gold before the oracle; and he overlaid it with gold. 22And the whole house he overlaid with gold, until he had finished all the house: also the whole altar that was by the oracle he overlaid with gold. 23And within the oracle he made two cherubims of olive tree, each ten cubits high. 24And five cubits was the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the other wing of the cherub: from the uttermost part of the one wing unto the uttermost part of the other were ten cubits. 25And the other cherub was ten cubits: both the cherubims were of one measure and one size. 26The height of the one cherub was ten cubits, and so was it of the other cherub. 27And he set the cherubims within the inner house: and they stretched forth the wings of the cherubims, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house. 28And he overlaid the cherubims with gold. 29And he carved all the walls of the house round about with carved figures of cherubims and palm trees and open flowers, within and without. 30And the floor of the house he overlaid with gold, within and without. 31And for the entering of the oracle he made doors of olive tree: the lintel and side posts were a fifth part of the wall. 32The two doors also were of olive tree; and he carved upon them carvings of cherubims and palm trees and open flowers, and overlaid them with gold, and spread gold upon the cherubims, and upon the palm trees. 33So also made he for the door of the temple posts of olive tree, a fourth part of the wall. 34And the two doors were of fir tree: the two leaves of the one door were folding, and the two leaves of the other door were folding. 35And he carved thereon cherubims and palm trees and open flowers: and covered them with gold fitted upon the carved work. 36And he built the inner court with three rows of hewed stone, and a row of cedar beams. 37In the fourth year was the foundation of the house of the LORD laid, in the month Zif: 38And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all the parts thereof, and according to all the fashion of it. So was he seven years in building it. (KJV)
This is the first sequence of the Key of David and it relates to the primary structure, which is the House of God made of Living Stones; and that sequence relates to the return of the Messiah and its completion for the Nations.”
“Solomon’s house took thirteen years to build; then he built the house of the Forest of Lebanon also. The Temple was the major effort and it all took twenty years. He also set Pharaoh’s daughter up in her own house.
The sequence, as we see, is seven years and seven months for the House of God and then thirteen years for the House of the King, the Porch of Judgment, and the House of the Forest of Lebanon.
1Kings 7:1-51 But Solomon was building his own house thirteen years, and he finished all his house. 2He built also the house of the forest of Lebanon; the length thereof was an hundred cubits, and the breadth thereof fifty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits, upon four rows of cedar pillars, with cedar beams upon the pillars. 3And it was covered with cedar above upon the beams, that lay on forty five pillars, fifteen in a row. 4And there were windows in three rows, and light was against light in three ranks. 5And all the doors and posts were square, with the windows: and light was against light in three ranks. 6And he made a porch of pillars; the length thereof was fifty cubits, and the breadth thereof thirty cubits: and the porch was before them: and the other pillars and the thick beam were before them. 7Then he made a porch for the throne where he might judge, even the porch of judgment: and it was covered with cedar from one side of the floor to the other. 8And his house where he dwelt had another court within the porch, which was of the like work. Solomon made also an house for Pharaoh's daughter, whom he had taken to wife, like unto this porch. 9All these were of costly stones, according to the measures of hewed stones, sawed with saws, within and without, even from the foundation unto the coping, and so on the outside toward the great court. 10And the foundation was of costly stones, even great stones, stones of ten cubits, and stones of eight cubits. 11And above were costly stones, after the measures of hewed stones, and cedars. 12And the great court round about was with three rows of hewed stones, and a row of cedar beams, both for the inner court of the house of the LORD, and for the porch of the house.
Hiram assisted in the construction. Hiram was half-Israelite. His father was of Tyre and his mother was a widow of the tribe of Naphtali. So too are the allied nations of Israel today as we see in the texts mentioned herein.
13And king Solomon sent and fetched Hiram out of Tyre. 14He was a widow's son of the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of Tyre, a worker in brass: and he was filled with wisdom, and understanding, and cunning to work all works in brass. And he came to king Solomon, and wrought all his work. 15For he cast two pillars of brass, of eighteen cubits high apiece: and a line of twelve cubits did compass either of them about. 16And he made two chapiters of molten brass, to set upon the tops of the pillars: the height of the one chapiter was five cubits, and the height of the other chapiter was five cubits: 17And nets of checker work, and wreaths of chain work, for the chapiters which were upon the top of the pillars; seven for the one chapiter, and seven for the other chapiter. 18And he made the pillars, and two rows round about upon the one network, to cover the chapiters that were upon the top, with pomegranates: and so did he for the other chapiter. 19And the chapiters that were upon the top of the pillars were of lily work in the porch, four cubits. 20And the chapiters upon the two pillars had pomegranates also above, over against the belly which was by the network: and the pomegranates were two hundred in rows round about upon the other chapiter. 21And he set up the pillars in the porch of the temple: and he set up the right pillar, and called the name thereof Jachin: and he set up the left pillar, and called the name thereof Boaz. 22And upon the top of the pillars was lily work: so was the work of the pillars finished. 23And he made a molten sea, ten cubits from the one brim to the other: it was round all about, and his height was five cubits: and a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about. 24And under the brim of it round about there were knops compassing it, ten in a cubit, compassing the sea round about: the knops were cast in two rows, when it was cast. 25It stood upon twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward the east: and the sea was set above upon them, and all their hinder parts were inward. 26And it was an hand breadth thick, and the brim thereof was wrought like the brim of a cup, with flowers of lilies: it contained two thousand baths. 27And he made ten bases of brass; four cubits was the length of one base, and four cubits the breadth thereof, and three cubits the height of it. 28And the work of the bases was on this manner: they had borders, and the borders were between the ledges: 29And on the borders that were between the ledges were lions, oxen, and cherubims: and upon the ledges there was a base above: and beneath the lions and oxen were certain additions made of thin work. 30And every base had four brasen wheels, and plates of brass: and the four corners thereof had undersetters: under the laver were undersetters molten, at the side of every addition. 31And the mouth of it within the chapiter and above was a cubit: but the mouth thereof was round after the work of the base, a cubit and an half: and also upon the mouth of it were gravings with their borders, foursquare, not round. 32And under the borders were four wheels; and the axletrees of the wheels were joined to the base: and the height of a wheel was a cubit and half a cubit. 33And the work of the wheels was like the work of a chariot wheel: their axletrees, and their naves, and their felloes, and their spokes, were all molten. 34And there were four undersetters to the four corners of one base: and the undersetters were of the very base itself. 35And in the top of the base was there a round compass of half a cubit high: and on the top of the base the ledges thereof and the borders thereof were of the same. 36For on the plates of the ledges thereof, and on the borders thereof, he graved cherubims, lions, and palm trees, according to the proportion of every one, and additions round about. 37After this manner he made the ten bases: all of them had one casting, one measure, and one size. 38Then made he ten lavers of brass: one laver contained forty baths: and every laver was four cubits: and upon every one of the ten bases one laver. 39And he put five bases on the right side of the house, and five on the left side of the house: and he set the sea on the right side of the house eastward over against the south. 40And Hiram made the lavers, and the shovels, and the basons. So Hiram made an end of doing all the work that he made king Solomon for the house of the LORD: 41The two pillars, and the two bowls of the chapiters that were on the top of the two pillars; and the two networks, to cover the two bowls of the chapiters which were upon the top of the pillars; 42And four hundred pomegranates for the two networks, even two rows of pomegranates for one network, to cover the two bowls of the chapiters that were upon the pillars; 43And the ten bases, and ten lavers on the bases; 44And one sea, and twelve oxen under the sea; 45And the pots, and the shovels, and the basons: and all these vessels, which Hiram made to king Solomon for the house of the LORD, were of bright brass. 46In the plain of Jordan did the king cast them, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zarthan. 47And Solomon left all the vessels unweighed, because they were exceeding many: neither was the weight of the brass found out. 48And Solomon made all the vessels that pertained unto the house of the LORD: the altar of gold, and the table of gold, whereupon the shewbread was, 49And the candlesticks of pure gold, five on the right side, and five on the left, before the oracle, with the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs of gold, 50And the bowls, and the snuffers, and the basons, and the spoons, and the censers of pure gold; and the hinges of gold, both for the doors of the inner house, the most holy place, and for the doors of the house, to wit, of the temple. 51So was ended all the work that king Solomon made for the house of the LORD. And Solomon brought in the things which David his father had dedicated; even the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, did he put among the treasures of the house of the LORD. (KJV)
The order of march of the tribes of Israel is covered in Numbers chapter 10:11ff. We see in the order of march that Israel is of twelve tribes with a 13th being Levi in the centre. The order of march was over the north with Dan, Asher and Naphtali and the east was Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, and the south was Reuben, Simeon and Gad and the west was Ephraim and Manasseh and Benjamin. Those four groupings are contained within in the lavers of the sea and are symbolised by the oxen that uphold the lavers.
The names of the pillars of the Temple are derived from the names of two Israelites. One, Jachin, was a Simeonite, the ancestor of the Jachinites. The second, Boaz, was a member of Judah. The story of Boaz is well known. He became the husband of Ruth and the father of Obed, the father of Jesse, the father of David, and thence to the Messiah (see the paper Ruth (No. 027)). His name, Boaz (SHD 1162), is from an unused root of uncertain meaning and was only applied to this man, the ancestor of David. With different vowels it may relate to being strengthened.
The name of Jachin (Yachin, SHD 3199) means: He will establish, or Yah (or more fully Yaho[vah]) will establish and can be more readily seen as a reference to the meaning of the name in God as being the One who will establish.
Although we cannot discount the fact that as Simeon was to be scattered in Israel, he may also have been an ancestor of David, and that David named both pillars for the strong ancestors of his line as examples of the Faith.
It is much more likely that the symbolism of the names points to the role of God in the establishment of the Spiritual Temple of God.
Whilst the name of Boaz is not as clear in meaning, it also is explained by his redemptive role in the story of Ruth. Thus the two pillars at the entrance to the Temple mean: He strengthens (Bullinger says: in Him is strength) and He establishes. Those meanings point to the central acts of the construction of the final spiritual Temple of God.
They also have specific meaning and their measurements are given differently in a number of texts. These are not contradictions, but rather variations on the way they were measured.”
We will see now what the relationship of the pillars is and how we are to interpret the measurements.
“In 1Kings 7:15-16, the two pillars are stated to measure 18 cubits high for one pillar, and the second pillar was twelve cubits in girth. The capitals were 5 cubits.”
Note: 18 cubits represents the 18 basic structures of the Human YDNA system.
The totals of pillar and capitals are thus 23 cubits high and 12 cubits in girth. The number 12 details the complete and perfect structure of the work of God along with 22. 23 is the number of the Human Genome as we see below.
We assume that both pillars are symmetrical and it is merely worded as it is to show the measurements of height and girth for both pillars. Jeremiah 52:21-22 gives exactly the same height for the pillars and capitals. 2Kings 25:17 says the pillars were 18 high, plus 3 cubits for the capitals. This measurement in all probability excluded the leaf decoration, which was lily work as mentioned in the texts (1Kgs. 7:22).
That gives distinction to the measurement of these two pillars. These pillars are the entry to the Temple and they are the ancestors of Christ and they are measured through the human genome. So we can say the son of man is the beginning of the Temple. The sea was placed to the east which is the entry of Messiah who was the first edifice of the Temple. The prince enters the Temple by way of the east gate so the sea was there for the means of purification of the entry to the Temple. Christ became the means by which the Temple of God was built but by which we enter into the Holy of Holies and become the Holy of Holies. So Christ became the pillars of the Temple by which we entered into and became the Naos or the Holy of Holies.
The text in 2Chronicles gives the pillars a combined measurement of 35 cubits and 5 for the capitals. So the pillars are 35 cubits at 17.5 cubits each with a half cubit for the join, and the pedestals were 5 cubits.
These two different measurements show that the join was part of the measurement of the 18 cubits so that the capitals were in addition to the 18 cubits and the joins included in the main pillars.
Commentators rarely examine the intention of the text. The number forty is the number of repentance, and the pillars symbolise the redemption of God and His establishment over the period of repentance allocated to the individual. The pillars represent the development of a man by the intervention of God through the Holy Spirit. The ratios of each pillar are 1 to 6 plus 2/3, which is the dimension of a man in body to head, at almost 1 to 7.”
However, the measurements also relate to the human DNA structure of 23 Chromosomes and total 46 in 23 pairs which is the number of the DNA pairs. The cubit is the measurement of both a man and an angel and shows the final purpose of the creation in the City of God where men and Angels are equal.
“The capitals have varying measurements. 1Kings 7:20 says that the pomegranates on the capitals were two hundred in rows round about the chapters. The pillar on the right was Jachin and the one on the left was Boaz. Further down in verse 42 it says they were two hundred in order to show the two hundred were reckoned to each capital (see also 2Chr. 4:13). In 2Chronicles 3:16 they are termed a hundred, meaning, they are a hundred in each row. Jeremiah 52:23 says that the rows to Ruach or to windward (i.e. exposed) are 96.”
The two hundred on each capital are uncertain but given the dimension relating to the Human Genome the numbers probably relates to the DYS within the YDNA system in 18 Haplogroups: Thus the mtDNA and YDNA represented as 400 mutations.
“2Chronicles also goes on to say that the porch was 120 cubits, using me’ah (SHD 3967) and 'esriym (SHD 6242). 1Kings 6:2-3 says the Temple was 60 cubits long, twenty cubits wide and thirty cubits high. It also says the porch was 20 cubits long, and according to the breadth of the house, and the breadth on the front of the house (i.e. entering the porch) was 10 cubits. It is silent as to the height of the porch, and people assume that it was the same height as the body of the Temple but the texts say it was four times the height of the body of the Temple. The porch at 120 cubits symbolised the duration of the physical creation in this age measured in Jubilees. That figure was also symbolised in the life of Moses as we saw in the Pentateuch and also in the early life of the patriarchs. The life of Moses was divided into three parts of forty years, and was reflected also in the three phases of the Rule of the Kings. The figure “thirty” in the main body depicted the inner government of God, and also the age to be attained before one could become an elder of the congregation of God.
The six levels in the entry depicted the first six cycles in the life of man. The seventh level, which was the body of the Temple itself, symbolised the final Sabbath cycle of the Jubilee allocated to mankind. A man had to be twenty years of age to enter adulthood and be eligible for war. One had to be twenty-five years before being enrolled in the Temple service, and thirty years to be an elder of God.
A person was allocated one Jubilee as an adult to develop in the Holy Spirit. Moses was allocated two Jubilees. David died at seventy years of age, symbolising the reduction in time to the single Jubilee. He handed over to Solomon before his death, symbolising order in the progression of authority to the Lord’s Anointed.
The Holy of Holies was the Naos, which represented the final year of human life and when the person achieved oneness with God. The Naos was to represent the stage of human development when God entered man in the Holy Spirit and elevated him to an elohim. That is why the NT refers to us as being the Naos, “which Naos we are” (1Cor. 3:17).
The tables, and the shewbread, and the ten lampstands stood for the development of the Church of God over the period allocated to the Church in its seven stages of development under the seven angels of the seven churches.
The other three represented the lampstands that were Messiah and the Two Witnesses (see the paper The Witnesses (including the Two Witnesses) (No. 135)).
The Holy of Holies contained the Ark of the Covenant and the Law of God, where the Law was enshrined in the hearts of men who had become the Temple of God.
The molten sea of the Temple was thirty cubits around and ten cubits across and so God revealed the ratio of the diameter to the circumference (1:3) in the dimensions. It was outside of the House of God, as was the altar, to symbolise that Christ died outside of the camp as a sacrifice once and for all that we all might be cleansed and redeemed to God.
The Temple dimensions pointed to the Plan of Salvation and the redemption of humanity to God. The sequence of its construction complied with that plan and reflected it in every facet of its development. The Key of David is understanding and teaching the Mysteries of God in accordance with the Jubilee structure allocated to it, and being able to prophesy in accordance with sound doctrine, and according to the Law and the Testimony.”
There were multiple temples which we will examine below.
Only when the Temple was complete was the Ark of the Covenant brought to the Temple, so that God might be seen as its centre. It was brought up in the month of Tishri, which symbolised the Advent of the Messiah and King and Ruler of the Earth as the new Morning Star.
1Kings 8:1-66 Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto king Solomon in Jerusalem, that they might bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion. 2And all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto king Solomon at the feast in the month Ethanim, which is the seventh month. 3And all the elders of Israel came, and the priests took up the ark. 4And they brought up the ark of the LORD, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, even those did the priests and the Levites bring up. 5And king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel, that were assembled unto him, were with him before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen, that could not be told nor numbered for multitude. 6And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims. 7For the cherubims spread forth their two wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above. 8And they drew out the staves, that the ends of the staves were seen out in the holy place before the oracle, and they were not seen without: and there they are unto this day. 9There was nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone, which Moses put there at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.
Thus the Tablets were placed in the Ark to symbolise the fact that God would place His Law in the hearts of all people and they would become the central place of his residence as the Naos or the Holy of Holies of the Temple of God. That is why the Ark is to be brought to mind no more, as the Ark is the hearts of the elect of the Churches of God.
10And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the LORD, 11So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD. 12Then spake Solomon, The LORD said that he would dwell in the thick darkness. 13I have surely built thee an house to dwell in, a settled place for thee to abide in for ever. 14And the king turned his face about, and blessed all the congregation of Israel: (and all the congregation of Israel stood;) 15And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, which spake with his mouth unto David my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled it, saying, 16Since the day that I brought forth my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build an house, that my name might be therein; but I chose David to be over my people Israel. 17And it was in the heart of David my father to build an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel. 18And the LORD said unto David my father, Whereas it was in thine heart to build an house unto my name, thou didst well that it was in thine heart. 19Nevertheless thou shalt not build the house; but thy son that shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house unto my name. 20And the LORD hath performed his word that he spake, and I am risen up in the room of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel. 21And I have set there a place for the ark, wherein is the covenant of the LORD, which he made with our fathers, when he brought them out of the land of Egypt. 22And Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven: 23And he said, LORD God of Israel, there is no God like thee, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who keepest covenant and mercy with thy servants that walk before thee with all their heart: 24Who hast kept with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him: thou spakest also with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as it is this day. 25Therefore now, LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel; so that thy children take heed to their way, that they walk before me as thou hast walked before me. 26And now, O God of Israel, let thy word, I pray thee, be verified, which thou spakest unto thy servant David my father. 27But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded? 28Yet have thou respect unto the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer, which thy servant prayeth before thee to day: 29That thine eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there: that thou mayest hearken unto the prayer which thy servant shall make toward this place. 30And hearken thou to the supplication of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, when they shall pray toward this place: and hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place: and when thou hearest, forgive. 31If any man trespass against his neighbour, and an oath be laid upon him to cause him to swear, and the oath come before thine altar in this house: 32Then hear thou in heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, condemning the wicked, to bring his way upon his head; and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness. 33When thy people Israel be smitten down before the enemy, because they have sinned against thee, and shall turn again to thee, and confess thy name, and pray, and make supplication unto thee in this house: 34Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, and bring them again unto the land which thou gavest unto their fathers. 35When heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou afflictest them: 36Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel, that thou teach them the good way wherein they should walk, and give rain upon thy land, which thou hast given to thy people for an inheritance. 37If there be in the land famine, if there be pestilence, blasting, mildew, locust, or if there be caterpiller; if their enemy besiege them in the land of their cities; whatsoever plague, whatsoever sickness there be; 38What prayer and supplication soever be made by any man, or by all thy people Israel, which shall know every man the plague of his own heart, and spread forth his hands toward this house: 39Then hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and do, and give to every man according to his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou, even thou only, knowest the hearts of all the children of men;) 40That they may fear thee all the days that they live in the land which thou gavest unto our fathers. 41Moreover concerning a stranger, that is not of thy people Israel, but cometh out of a far country for thy name's sake; 42(For they shall hear of thy great name, and of thy strong hand, and of thy stretched out arm;) when he shall come and pray toward this house; 43Hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for: that all people of the earth may know thy name, to fear thee, as do thy people Israel; and that they may know that this house, which I have builded, is called by thy name. 44If thy people go out to battle against their enemy, whithersoever thou shalt send them, and shall pray unto the LORD toward the city which thou hast chosen, and toward the house that I have built for thy name: 45Then hear thou in heaven their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause. 46If they sin against thee, (for there is no man that sinneth not,) and thou be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captives unto the land of the enemy, far or near; 47Yet if they shall bethink themselves in the land whither they were carried captives, and repent, and make supplication unto thee in the land of them that carried them captives, saying, We have sinned, and have done perversely, we have committed wickedness; 48And so return unto thee with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their enemies, which led them away captive, and pray unto thee toward their land, which thou gavest unto their fathers, the city which thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built for thy name: 49Then hear thou their prayer and their supplication in heaven thy dwelling place, and maintain their cause, 50And forgive thy people that have sinned against thee, and all their transgressions wherein they have transgressed against thee, and give them compassion before them who carried them captive, that they may have compassion on them: 51For they be thy people, and thine inheritance, which thou broughtest forth out of Egypt, from the midst of the furnace of iron: 52That thine eyes may be open unto the supplication of thy servant, and unto the supplication of thy people Israel, to hearken unto them in all that they call for unto thee. 53For thou didst separate them from among all the people of the earth, to be thine inheritance, as thou spakest by the hand of Moses thy servant, when thou broughtest our fathers out of Egypt, O Lord GOD. 54And it was so, that when Solomon had made an end of praying all this prayer and supplication unto the LORD, he arose from before the altar of the LORD, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven. 55And he stood, and blessed all the congregation of Israel with a loud voice, saying, 56Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant. 57The LORD our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us: 58That he may incline our hearts unto him, to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and his statutes, and his judgments, which he commanded our fathers. 59And let these my words, wherewith I have made supplication before the LORD, be nigh unto the LORD our God day and night, that he maintain the cause of his servant, and the cause of his people Israel at all times, as the matter shall require: 60That all the people of the earth may know that the LORD is God, and that there is none else. 61Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day. 62And the king, and all Israel with him, offered sacrifice before the LORD. 63And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered unto the LORD, two and twenty thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the children of Israel dedicated the house of the LORD. 64The same day did the king hallow the middle of the court that was before the house of the LORD: for there he offered burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings: because the brasen altar that was before the LORD was too little to receive the burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings. 65And at that time Solomon held a feast, and all Israel with him, a great congregation, from the entering in of Hamath unto the river of Egypt, before the LORD our God, seven days and seven days, even fourteen days. 66On the eighth day he sent the people away: and they blessed the king, and went unto their tents joyful and glad of heart for all the goodness that the LORD had done for David his servant, and for Israel his people. (KJV)
The Covenant
established with Solomon
The Angel of God, the subordinate God of
Israel we know as Christ (Ps. 45:6-7; Heb. 1:8,9), appeared to Solomon and
established God’s Covenant with him and the Nation. The Covenant was
conditional. They were told they would be punished if they did not keep it.
1Kings 9:1-28 And it came to pass, when Solomon had finished the building of the house of the LORD, and the king's house, and all Solomon's desire which he was pleased to do, 2That the LORD appeared to Solomon the second time, as he had appeared unto him at Gibeon. 3And the LORD said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually. 4And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments: 5Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel. 6But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them: 7Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people: 8And at this house, which is high, every one that passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and to this house? 9And they shall answer, Because they forsook the LORD their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have taken hold upon other gods, and have worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath the LORD brought upon them all this evil. 10And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, when Solomon had built the two houses, the house of the LORD, and the king's house, 11(Now Hiram the king of Tyre had furnished Solomon with cedar trees and fir trees, and with gold, according to all his desire,) that then king Solomon gave Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee. 12And Hiram came out from Tyre to see the cities which Solomon had given him; and they pleased him not. 13And he said, What cities are these which thou hast given me, my brother? And he called them the land of Cabul unto this day. 14And Hiram sent to the king sixscore talents of gold. 15And this is the reason of the levy which king Solomon raised; for to build the house of the LORD, and his own house, and Millo, and the wall of Jerusalem, and Hazor, and Megiddo, and Gezer. 16For Pharaoh king of Egypt had gone up, and taken Gezer, and burnt it with fire, and slain the Canaanites that dwelt in the city, and given it for a present unto his daughter, Solomon's wife. 17And Solomon built Gezer, and Bethhoron the nether, 18And Baalath, and Tadmor in the wilderness, in the land, 19And all the cities of store that Solomon had, and cities for his chariots, and cities for his horsemen, and that which Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion. 20And all the people that were left of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, which were not of the children of Israel, 21Their children that were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel also were not able utterly to destroy, upon those did Solomon levy a tribute of bondservice unto this day. 22But of the children of Israel did Solomon make no bondmen: but they were men of war, and his servants, and his princes, and his captains, and rulers of his chariots, and his horsemen. 23These were the chief of the officers that were over Solomon's work, five hundred and fifty, which bare rule over the people that wrought in the work. 24But Pharaoh's daughter came up out of the city of David unto her house which Solomon had built for her: then did he build Millo. 25And three times in a year did Solomon offer burnt offerings and peace offerings upon the altar which he built unto the LORD, and he burnt incense upon the altar that was before the LORD. So he finished the house. 26And king Solomon made a navy of ships in Eziongeber, which is beside Eloth, on the shore of the Red sea, in the land of Edom. 27And Hiram sent in the navy his servants, shipmen that had knowledge of the sea, with the servants of Solomon. 28And they came to Ophir, and fetched from thence gold, four hundred and twenty talents, and brought it to king Solomon. (KJV)
So also the text on Chronicles deals with the sequence of the Temple and the Covenant established with the Nation; as we see from 2Chronicles 2:1-18. From verse 4 we see that the Temple was established to burn offerings and these represented the prayers of the Saints for each day and the Sabbaths and the New Moons and the solemn Feasts of the Lord as an ordinance forever.
4Behold, I build an house to the name of the LORD my God, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him sweet incense, and for the continual shewbread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts of the LORD our God. This is an ordinance for ever to Israel. 5And the house which I build is great: for great is our God above all gods. 6But who is able to build him an house, seeing the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain him? who am I then, that I should build him an house, save only to burn sacrifice before him?
Solomon then asked for an artificer to be sent to do it and the materials also (vv. 7-14).
Hiram sent an artificer who was half-Israelite. His father was also Hiram and the artificer was his father’s man. That man was from a woman of Dan, and a man of Tyre. The participation of the females of Israel in intermarrying with Gentiles brought the Gentiles into the construction of the Temple. That fact pointed towards the composite nature of Israel in the Last Days and that salvation was of the Gentiles.”
The DNA structure was combined between Israel and the Gentiles so that Abraham became the Father of Nations, and the Covenant of God and the Holy Spirit which wrote that Law on the hearts of men could extend to the entire human structure and salvation was extended to the Gentiles.
“15Now therefore the wheat, and the barley, the oil, and the wine, which my lord hath spoken of, let him send unto his servants: 16And we will cut wood out of Lebanon, as much as thou shalt need: and we will bring it to thee in floats by sea to Joppa; and thou shalt carry it up to Jerusalem. 17And Solomon numbered all the strangers that were in the land of Israel, after the numbering wherewith David his father had numbered them; and they were found an hundred and fifty thousand and three thousand and six hundred. 18And he set threescore and ten thousand of them to be bearers of burdens, and fourscore thousand to be hewers in the mountain, and three thousand and six hundred overseers to set the people a work. (KJV)
There were 153,600 strangers in Israel and they were put to work in the construction as levies. Seventy thousand men were bearers of burdens, 80,000 were hewers in the mountains and 3,600 were overseers. Thus all the Gentiles within Israel were used in the construction. Salvation, when extended to the Gentiles, is universal.
Once the materials were in place then Solomon began to build (2Chr. 3:-1-17).
2Chronicles 3:1-17 Then Solomon began to build the house of the LORD at Jerusalem in mount Moriah, where the LORD appeared unto David his father, in the place that David had prepared in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.
Thus
the area of the Jebusites which had been the place of the priesthood of
Melchisdek became the place of the Temple and pointed to that system.
2Chronicles
3:2-17 deals with the construction that we saw in Kings but has some more
details such as the gold being of Parvaim and the ceilings of fir and precious
stones in the Greater House.
2And he began to build in the second day of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign. 3Now these are the things wherein Solomon was instructed for the building of the house of God. The length by cubits after the first measure was threescore cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits. 4And the porch that was in the front of the house, the length of it was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the height was an hundred and twenty: and he overlaid it within with pure gold. 5And the greater house he cieled with fir tree, which he overlaid with fine gold, and set thereon palm trees and chains. 6And he garnished the house with precious stones for beauty: and the gold was gold of Parvaim. 7He overlaid also the house, the beams, the posts, and the walls thereof, and the doors thereof, with gold; and graved cherubims on the walls. 8And he made the most holy house, the length whereof was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits: and he overlaid it with fine gold, amounting to six hundred talents. 9And the weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. And he overlaid the upper chambers with gold. 10And in the most holy house he made two cherubims of image work, and overlaid them with gold. 11And the wings of the cherubims were twenty cubits long: one wing of the one cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing was likewise five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub. 12And one wing of the other cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing was five cubits also, joining to the wing of the other cherub. 13The wings of these cherubims spread themselves forth twenty cubits: and they stood on their feet, and their faces were inward. 14And he made the vail of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and wrought cherubims thereon. 15Also he made before the house two pillars of thirty and five cubits high, and the chapiter that was on the top of each of them was five cubits. 16And he made chains, as in the oracle, and put them on the heads of the pillars; and made an hundred pomegranates, and put them on the chains. 17And he reared up the pillars before the temple, one on the right hand, and the other on the left; and called the name of that on the right hand Jachin, and the name of that on the left Boaz. (KJV)
It is through the salvation of God that we enter the Temple of God. The cherubim protect the throne of God and represent the Cherubim of the Host. The cherubim of Ezekiel’s Temple demonstrate that the two replacement cherubim on either side of the palm that is Christ, are replacing the man and lion-headed cherubim of the Fallen Host, namely Satan and the lion-headed Aeon. These replacement elohim are Abraham and Moses, who are the only two mentioned as elohim in the texts of Genesis and Exodus.
Whilst Abraham and Moses are the only two mentioned as
elohim, the transfiguration couples Moses and Elijah (Mat. 17:3). Thus we can
assume that there are at least four beings involved in the sequence, namely
Enoch, Abraham, Moses and Elijah and perhaps even another two beings yet to be
identified.
The altar of brass and the molten sea were the next to
be constructed. The details are also in 2Chronicles
4:1-22. It
stood on two rows of twelve oxen, three looking North, East, South and West.
They faced out with their rears inwards. The sea held 3000 baths. The thickness was
of a hand breadth again being measurement of the labour of a man (v. 5). The
ten lavers, five on the right and five on the left, also represented the labour
of a man whereby they cleansed the offerings to the Lord such that all things
offered to God were through and by men. The sea itself was for the priests to
wash in and the cleansing of the priesthood was first of Levi but had been and
would be of Melchisedek under Messiah (cf. Hebrews chapters 1 to 8) and Christ
is the mediator once offered for the sins of the people (chapter 9), and he
will appear to those that seek him the second time without sin unto salvation
(Heb. 9:28).
The next were the ten candlesticks of gold, again five
on the right and five on the left, placed on the ten tables and with them a
hundred basons of gold (vv. 6-8).
The temple was also made with a court for the priests
and the Great Court and the doors for the court. Thus the elect were to be set
aside with the High Priest and the central priesthood with their respective duties
(v. 9).
The sea was set at the right side of the east end,
which is where the prince enters the temple.
The two pillars of the Temple were made by a gentile
and represented the DNA structure of the Human Host of 23 and 46 cubits and
also 400 pomegranates on the two wreaths with two rows on each wreath (vv. 12-13).
The brass objects were cast in the plain of the Jordan
and they were without measure or unmeasured as the daily sacrifice of the Great
Multitude of the church were without number (Rev. 7:9).
All the vessels of the House of God were made of gold
by order of the prince, who was Solomon, representing the Messiah who is
responsible for the Church of God through the Holy Spirit. The lamp-stands were
also of pure gold that they were made to burn before the oracle. Also the lamps
and the tongs and basons and snuffers and the spoons and the censers were of
gold as were entries of the house and the doors, both inner to the Holy Place
or Naos as well as the doors to the house of the Temple (vv. 21-22). And the
numbers of the text were complete at verse 22.
Gold did not tarnish and was a malleable metal. So too the elect are to be pure and refined and malleable or teachable.
2Chronicles 5:1 Thus all the work that Solomon made for the house of the LORD was finished: and Solomon brought in [all] the things that David his father had dedicated; and the silver, and the gold, and all the instruments, put he among the treasures of the house of God.
There were items dedicated in preparation, and these were then brought into the Temple when it was ready. Thus there were elements used in the construction and there were items set aside for use after the first phase of the construction was completed.
2Chronicles 5:2 Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which [is] Zion.
When the Temple was ready the Ark of the Covenant was brought to Jerusalem. Thus the Ark symbolised the Holy Spirit within the elect, which takes up residence at Jerusalem after the Messiah has completed the primary phase. Salvation is also of Judah and Jerusalem in that phase, as with all Israel.
In the seventh month the men of Israel assembled before the king in the feast. All the elders of Israel came and the Levites took up the Ark of the Covenant and the tabernacles of the congregation to the Temple. Thus all that was Holy to the Lord was assembled at the Temple of God before Israel and they sacrificed unto the Lord God. In this way all the elect of Israel will go before the Lord at Jerusalem and be brought before the Oracle and the Ark which is the centre of the Naos and the Place of the Holy Spirit. They were placed under the cherubim that are the elohim of the First Resurrection of the Dead.
2Chronicles 5:3-14 Wherefore all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto the king in the feast which was in the seventh month. 4And all the elders of Israel came; and the Levites took up the ark. 5And they brought up the ark, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, these did the priests and the Levites bring up. 6Also king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel that were assembled unto him before the ark, sacrificed sheep and oxen, which could not be told nor numbered for multitude. 7And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, to the oracle of the house, into the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims: 8For the cherubims spread forth their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above. 9And they drew out the staves of the ark, that the ends of the staves were seen from the ark before the oracle; but they were not seen without. And there it is unto this day.
The
Ark symbolised the hearts of the elect that were to receive the Holy Spirit and
who were to become elohim or the sons of God. In their hearts were committed
the laws of God.
10There was nothing in the ark save the two tables which Moses put therein at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.
Thus
the contents of the Ark had been reduced to show that only the law of God would
be in the hearts of the elect. The elect then became the priesthood of
Melchisedek.
11And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place: (for all the priests that were present were sanctified, and did not then wait by course: 12Also the Levites which were the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, being arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets:) 13It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD; 14So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God. (KJV)
The Ark will be brought to mind no more (see the paper The Ark of the Covenant (No. 196)). The representation is that the Holy Spirit, which conveys the Law of God and its understanding, will replace the physical Ark and will convert Judah and Israel in the Last Days, but only after the primary edifice – the Church of God – has been established.
Jerusalem was chosen and the Temple was
placed there to represent the place where God would choose to dwell but it was
for all mankind and not just for Judah or Israel and was not the inheritance of
Judah from the beginning but was brought by David for the Temple and then
joined as a city of the Jebusites to Israel as was the intention for the days
of Abraham and Shem as the Priesthood of Melchisedek (see the paper Melchisedek (No. 128)).
2Chronicles 6:1-42 mirrors the text in Kings, and Solomon blessed the congregation of Israel and showed how he was appointed as son of David to complete the Temple.
Thus
Solomon was raised up as the son of David and so he represented Messiah as the son
of David. Then he prayed on the scaffold of brass for all of Israel. The text
from verse 12 refers to the brazen scaffold and the centre of prayer in the
court. This then was his plea to God which mirrors Kings.
2Chronicles 6:12-42 And he stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands: 13For Solomon had made a brasen scaffold, of five cubits long, and five cubits broad, and three cubits high, and had set it in the midst of the court: and upon it he stood, and kneeled down upon his knees before all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven, 14And said, O LORD God of Israel, there is no God like thee in the heaven, nor in the earth; which keepest covenant, and shewest mercy unto thy servants, that walk before thee with all their hearts: 15Thou which hast kept with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him; and spakest with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as it is this day. 16Now therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; yet so that thy children take heed to their way to walk in my law, as thou hast walked before me. 17Now then, O LORD God of Israel, let thy word be verified, which thou hast spoken unto thy servant David. 18But will God in very deed dwell with men on the earth? behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house which I have built! 19Have respect therefore to the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and the prayer which thy servant prayeth before thee: 20That thine eyes may be open upon this house day and night, upon the place whereof thou hast said that thou wouldest put thy name there; to hearken unto the prayer which thy servant prayeth toward this place. 21Hearken therefore unto the supplications of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, which they shall make toward this place: hear thou from thy dwelling place, even from heaven; and when thou hearest, forgive. 22If a man sin against his neighbour, and an oath be laid upon him to make him swear, and the oath come before thine altar in this house; 23Then hear thou from heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, by requiting the wicked, by recompensing his way upon his own head; and by justifying the righteous, by giving him according to his righteousness. 24And if thy people Israel be put to the worse before the enemy, because they have sinned against thee; and shall return and confess thy name, and pray and make supplication before thee in this house; 25Then hear thou from the heavens, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, and bring them again unto the land which thou gavest to them and to their fathers. 26When the heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; yet if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou dost afflict them; 27Then hear thou from heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel, when thou hast taught them the good way, wherein they should walk; and send rain upon thy land, which thou hast given unto thy people for an inheritance. 28If there be dearth in the land, if there be pestilence, if there be blasting, or mildew, locusts, or caterpillers; if their enemies besiege them in the cities of their land; whatsoever sore or whatsoever sickness there be: 29Then what prayer or what supplication soever shall be made of any man, or of all thy people Israel, when every one shall know his own sore and his own grief, and shall spread forth his hands in this house: 30Then hear thou from heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and render unto every man according unto all his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou only knowest the hearts of the children of men:) 31That they may fear thee, to walk in thy ways, so long as they live in the land which thou gavest unto our fathers. 32Moreover concerning the stranger, which is not of thy people Israel, but is come from a far country for thy great name's sake, and thy mighty hand, and thy stretched out arm; if they come and pray in this house; 33Then hear thou from the heavens, even from thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for; that all people of the earth may know thy name, and fear thee, as doth thy people Israel, and may know that this house which I have built is called by thy name. 34If thy people go out to war against their enemies by the way that thou shalt send them, and they pray unto thee toward this city which thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built for thy name; 35Then hear thou from the heavens their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause. 36If they sin against thee, (for there is no man which sinneth not,) and thou be angry with them, and deliver them over before their enemies, and they carry them away captives unto a land far off or near; 37Yet if they bethink themselves in the land whither they are carried captive, and turn and pray unto thee in the land of their captivity, saying, We have sinned, we have done amiss, and have dealt wickedly; 38If they return to thee with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their captivity, whither they have carried them captives, and pray toward their land, which thou gavest unto their fathers, and toward the city which thou hast chosen, and toward the house which I have built for thy name: 39Then hear thou from the heavens, even from thy dwelling place, their prayer and their supplications, and maintain their cause, and forgive thy people which have sinned against thee. 40Now, my God, let, I beseech thee, thine eyes be open, and let thine ears be attent unto the prayer that is made in this place. 41Now therefore arise, O LORD God, into thy resting place, thou, and the ark of thy strength: let thy priests, O LORD God, be clothed with salvation, and let thy saints rejoice in goodness. 42O LORD God, turn not away the face of thine anointed: remember the mercies of David thy servant. (KJV)
Healing was extended to all in forgiveness of sin. Thus the dedication of the House of God was so that the Gentiles also could be saved, and could turn and ask of God whatever they would and it would be granted to them.
After Solomon had prayed, fire came down from Heaven and consumed the burnt offerings as a sign that God had heard and consented to their prayers. The children of Israel were then deeply conscious of what God had done. Thus five hundred years after the Exodus, signs were given again to Israel concerning the presence of the Angel of the Lord with them as the Yahovah of Israel, who was Jesus Christ (Ps. 45:6-7; Heb 1:8-9).
2Chronicles 7:1-22 Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the house. 2And the priests could not enter into the house of the LORD, because the glory of the LORD had filled the LORD'S house. 3And when all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the LORD upon the house, they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and worshipped, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever. 4Then the king and all the people offered sacrifices before the LORD.
This
text demonstrates that the Tabernacle and then the Temple were both filled with
the glory of the Lord. The fire coming down from heaven and consuming the
sacrifices pointed towards the Spiritual Temple which would be touched by fire
at Pentecost 30 CE and the elect would become a Spiritual Temple filled or made
up of human sacrifices dedicated to the Lord God and which would replace the Physical
Temple at Jerusalem which was to be destroyed in 70 CE as prophesied in Daniel
9:25ff. The numbers of the sacrifices were of spiritual significance. It was all made previously as were the
instruments and Psalms.
5And king Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty and two thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep: so the king and all the people dedicated the house of God. 6And the priests waited on their offices: the Levites also with instruments of musick of the LORD, which David the king had made to praise the LORD, because his mercy endureth for ever, when David praised by their ministry; and the priests sounded trumpets before them, and all Israel stood. 7Moreover Solomon hallowed the middle of the court that was before the house of the LORD: for there he offered burnt offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings, because the brasen altar which Solomon had made was not able to receive the burnt offerings, and the meat offerings, and the fat. 8Also at the same time Solomon kept the feast seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great congregation, from the entering in of Hamath unto the river of Egypt. 9And in the eighth day they made a solemn assembly: for they kept the dedication of the altar seven days, and the feast seven days. 10And on the three and twentieth day of the seventh month he sent the people away into their tents, glad and merry in heart for the goodness that the LORD had shewed unto David, and to Solomon, and to Israel his people. 11Thus Solomon finished the house of the LORD, and the king's house: and all that came into Solomon's heart to make in the house of the LORD, and in his own house, he prosperously effected.
The Feast of the Seventh month was for fourteen days, being seven days for the dedication of the altar, and seven days of the Feast of Tabernacles. The dedication was from 8 to 14 Tishri, and the seven days of the Feast from 15 to 21 Tishri. The Last Great Day was 22 Tishri, and on 23 Tishri they returned to their homes. The Last Great Day was not counted as the Feast in these calculations. The Last Great Day in the end times signifies the Great White Throne Judgment and is not part of the millennial system. It is the Second Resurrection of the Dead and relates to the judgment of the world. In the Tishri sequence at the end of this age it relates to the Jubilee of 2027. Then the Restoration is completed and the people are returned to their lands in Israel and the rest of the world.
This sequence also relates to the end of the age. The twenty-one days referred to combine the sequence to reach the millennial system as outlined in the paper Sanctification of the Nations (No. 077). That sequence is three lots of seven days and the restoration for the new system in Jerusalem. Thus the first seven years of the Sanctification take us to 2012, which is the responsibility of the Church. Its doctrine must be correct and complete and published to all nations by that date. The Key of David is given to the faithful Church in the Last Days, publishing the original doctrines of the Church of God from the First century. That means a Unitarian Monotheist structure with doctrine intact, including the Sacred Calendar with New Moons. That is the Key of David in explaining the sequence of the Last Days in prophecy.
In the phase here, in the Temple sequence, the Sanctification of the Altar is in fact the second lot of seven days of Tishri, commencing on the Eighth of Tishri, or 2013 in year-for-a-day terms to the Jubilee of 2027. The final seven days is the subjugation of the nations from Jerusalem under Messiah from 2019 to 2026 (see also the paper The Fall of Jericho (No. 142)). The Jubilee in 2027 completes the process and 2028 is the New Millennial system. By 2028 the physical Millennial Restoration is under way, and the Temple system and the administrative system in Jerusalem are constructed, as are the houses of the King and the Porch of Judgment. From there, judgment will issue to the world.
12And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice. 13If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; 14If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 15Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place. 16For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually. 17And as for thee, if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded thee, and shalt observe my statutes and my judgments; 18Then will I stablish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I have covenanted with David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man to be ruler in Israel. 19But if ye turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments, which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them; 20Then will I pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have sanctified for my name, will I cast out of my sight, and will make it to be a proverb and a byword among all nations. 21And this house, which is high, shall be an astonishment to every one that passeth by it; so that he shall say, Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and unto this house? 22And it shall be answered, Because they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, and laid hold on other gods, and worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath he brought all this evil upon them. (KJV)
Solomon was cautioned as to what would happen if they engaged in idolatry, yet he himself stumbled on this very injunction.
2Chronicles 8:1-18 And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, wherein Solomon had built the house of the LORD, and his own house, 2That the cities which Huram had restored to Solomon, Solomon built them, and caused the children of Israel to dwell there. 3And Solomon went to Hamathzobah, and prevailed against it. 4And he built Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the store cities, which he built in Hamath. 5Also he built Bethhoron the upper, and Bethhoron the nether, fenced cities, with walls, gates, and bars; 6And Baalath, and all the store cities that Solomon had, and all the chariot cities, and the cities of the horsemen, and all that Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and throughout all the land of his dominion. 7As for all the people that were left of the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which were not of Israel, 8But of their children, who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel consumed not, them did Solomon make to pay tribute until this day. 9But of the children of Israel did Solomon make no servants for his work; but they were men of war, and chief of his captains, and captains of his chariots and horsemen. 10And these were the chief of king Solomon's officers, even two hundred and fifty, that bare rule over the people. 11And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the city of David unto the house that he had built for her: for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places are holy, whereunto the ark of the LORD hath come. 12Then Solomon offered burnt offerings unto the LORD on the altar of the LORD, which he had built before the porch, 13Even after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.
Note the daughter of Pharaoh was not allowed to reside where the Ark of the Covenant had resided in the household of David. This was to point out that the idolatry of the nations was not allowed to enter the Temple of God or the residence of the Naos as the Household of David which were to become elohim. She herself was permitted to erect an altar to her gods across Kidron as were many others.
Solomon established the Laws of God and the Calendar and kept the Sabbaths and New Moons as Holy Days, as he did the Holy Days of the Feasts; these he kept three times in the year, according to the sacred Calendar (see the paper God’s Calendar (No. 156)). That system was meant to be kept right down until the Temple was destroyed in 70 CE. However, it was often not kept, and the Feasts and the Reading of the Law were often not done at all through apostasy and indolence.
The system organised by David was instituted and kept down to the porters on the gates, as everything had meaning for the future Temple under Jesus Christ.
14And he appointed, according to the order of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required: the porters also by their courses at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded. 15And they departed not from the commandment of the king unto the priests and Levites concerning any matter, or concerning the treasures. 16Now all the work of Solomon was prepared unto the day of the foundation of the house of the LORD, and until it was finished. So the house of the LORD was perfected. 17Then went Solomon to Eziongeber, and to Eloth, at the sea side in the land of Edom. 18And Huram sent him by the hands of his servants ships, and servants that had knowledge of the sea; and they went with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and took thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and brought them to king Solomon. (KJV)
There were also two
fully functioning Temples outside of Israel in Egypt that functioned when the
Temple in Jerusalem was not functioning in the Babylonian destruction and
captivity and also from the construction of the High Priest Onias IV in Goshen
at Heliopolis for the time Christ would go there.
The Temples were:
1. Solomon’s Temple which
was destroyed by the Babylonians;
2. The Temple restored
under the edicts of Cyrus and Darius II and the Provisioning Decree of
Artaxerxes II (cf. the paper The Sign of Jonah and the History
of the Reconstruction of the Temple (No. 013));
3. The Temple rebuilt
by Herod that was 46 years in the making until the declaration by Christ that
they could destroy this temple and in three days he would raise it up again
(Jn. 2:19-20).
God allowed the Temple
to be rebuilt by Herod to show the relationship between the coming of the
Messiah and the relationship between man as the Temple and the ultimate purpose
of the creation and the recipient of the Holy Spirit as sons of God or elohim.
In 70 CE after seventy weeks of years it was destroyed so that man was the only
Temple or Naos left until the return of the Messiah for the Jubilee of 2027 CE.
