Commentary on Ezekiel Part 7
Chapter 25
1The word of the
LORD came to me: 2"Son
of man, set your face toward the Ammonites, and prophesy against them. 3Say to the Ammonites, Hear the
word of the Lord GOD: Thus says the Lord GOD, Because you said, 'Aha!' over my
sanctuary when it was profaned, and over the land of Israel when it was made
desolate, and over the house of Judah when it went into exile; 4therefore I am handing you over
to the people of the East for a possession, and they shall set their
encampments among you and make their dwellings in your midst; they shall eat
your fruit, and they shall drink your milk. 5I will make Rabbah a pasture for camels and the cities of
the Ammonites a fold for flocks. Then you will know that I am the LORD. 6For thus says the Lord GOD:
Because you have clapped your hands and stamped your feet and rejoiced with all
the malice within you against the land of Israel, 7therefore, behold, I have stretched out my hand against
you, and will hand you over as spoil to the nations; and I will cut you off
from the peoples and will make you perish out of the countries; I will destroy
you. Then you will know that I am the LORD. 8"Thus says the Lord GOD: Because Moab said, Behold,
the house of Judah is like all the other nations, 9therefore I will lay open the flank of Moab from the cities
on its frontier, the glory of the country, Beth-jesh'imoth, Ba'al-me'on, and
Kiriatha'im. 10I will
give it along with the Ammonites to the people of the East as a possession,
that it may be remembered no more among the nations, 11and I will execute judgments
upon Moab. Then they will know that I am the LORD. 12"Thus says the Lord GOD: Because Edom acted
revengefully against the house of Judah and has grievously offended in taking
vengeance upon them, 13therefore
thus says the Lord GOD, I will stretch out my hand against Edom, and cut off
from it man and beast; and I will make it desolate; from Teman even to Dedan
they shall fall by the sword. 14And
I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel; and they
shall do in Edom according to my anger and according to my wrath; and they
shall know my vengeance, says the Lord GOD. 15"Thus says the Lord GOD: Because the Philistines
acted revengefully and took vengeance with malice of heart to destroy in
never-ending enmity; 16therefore
thus says the Lord GOD, Behold, I will stretch out my hand against the
Philistines, and I will cut off the Cher'ethites, and destroy the rest of the
seacoast. 17I will
execute great vengeance upon them with wrathful chastisements. Then they will
know that I am the LORD, when I lay my vengeance upon them."

25:1-32:32 Oracles Against the
Nations
Compare Isa. chs. 13-23; Jer. chs. 46-51; In total, seven
nations are involved (Ammon, Moab, Edom, Philistia, Tyre, Sidon, and Egypt
(comp. Deut. 7:1). They are all to be punished before Israel is to be restored
(36:5-7).
25:1-17 Oracles Against Ammorites,
Moab, Edom and Philistia
Here we see God begin to deal with the nations that
gloated over the destruction of Israel and Judah. We also see that it is Israel
that is to destroy Edom after Moab and Ammon had been given over to the people
of the East (see #212B).
After Judah had gone into captivity in 70 CE under the Sign of Jonah... (No. 013)
Edom went with it as part of Israel. The quirk of Irony was that Herod, an
Edomite and part of the Phoenicean trade network, supported Octavian and Rome
at the Battle of Actium against Egypt and the forces of Mark Antony, and became
the king of Judea - Idumea as a result. Edom had been captured by Israel under
John Hyrcanus and the Macabbees ca 130 BCE onwards and was incorporated into
Israel as a Judaic group and they are a part of Judaism to this day (#212E).
Ammon and Moab became part of the kingdom of Jordan with
an Arab influx and are now part of the Arab alliance and field the Arab Legion.
Prophecy says that they are to be left relatively free from military occupation
under the NWO and will become part of Israel in the Millennial Kingdom of
Messiah (see Isaiah 19:23-25; Jer. 27:1-11; 48:1-47; Daniel 11:40-45 (F027xi, xii, xiii); Revelation F066iii,
iv. v ).
25:1-7 Against Ammon
(21:28-32; Am. 1:13-15; Jer. 49:1-6). Ammon had seized one time Israelite
territory (Jer. 49:1) and is to be occupied by the people of the East (Isa.
11:14). This Arab expansion pushed the Edomites into Southern Judah (vv.
12-14). The Arab expansion eventually produced the Nabatean Empire (comp. 2Cor.
11:32) (see Ishmael (No. 212C)
and The Sons of Keturah (No.
212D)).
25:8-11 Against Moab. (Comp.
Jer. 48:1-47). The Arab expansion was also to envelop Moab as we see in the
references above. (See Lot, Moab, Ammon and
Esau No. 212B.)
25:12-14 Against Edom Comp.
Isa. Ch 34; Jer. 49:7-22.
25:15-17 Against Philistia (Comp. Jer. Ch. 47).
The Cherethites – Lived beween Gerar
and Sharuhen (1Sam. 30:14), were perhaps originally Cretans (Jer. 47:4).
Chapter 26
1In the eleventh
year, on the first day of the month, the word of the LORD came to me: 2"Son of man, because Tyre
said concerning Jerusalem, 'Aha, the gate of the peoples is broken, it has
swung open to me; I shall be replenished, now that she is laid waste,' 3therefore thus says the Lord
GOD: Behold, I am against you, O Tyre, and will bring up many nations against
you, as the sea brings up its waves. 4They shall destroy the walls of Tyre, and break down her
towers; and I will scrape her soil from her, and make her a bare rock. 5She shall be in the midst of
the sea a place for the spreading of nets; for I have spoken, says the Lord
GOD; and she shall become a spoil to the nations; 6and her daughters on the mainland shall be slain by the
sword. Then they will know that I am the LORD. 7"For thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I will bring upon
Tyre from the north Nebuchadrez'zar king of Babylon, king of kings, with horses
and chariots, and with horsemen and a host of many soldiers. 8He will slay with the sword
your daughters on the mainland; he will set up a siege wall against you, and
throw up a mound against you, and raise a roof of shields against you. 9He will direct the shock of his
battering rams against your walls, and with his axes he will break down your
towers. 10His horses
will be so many that their dust will cover you; your walls will shake at the
noise of the horsemen and wagons and chariots, when he enters your gates as one
enters a city which has been breached. 11With the hoofs of his horses he will trample all your
streets; he will slay your people with the sword; and your mighty pillars will
fall to the ground. 12They
will make a spoil of your riches and a prey of your merchandise; they will
break down your walls and destroy your pleasant houses; your stones and timber
and soil they will cast into the midst of the waters. 13And I will stop the music of
your songs, and the sound of your lyres shall be heard no more. 14I will make you a bare rock;
you shall be a place for the spreading of nets; you shall never be rebuilt; for
I the LORD have spoken, says the Lord GOD. 15"Thus says the Lord GOD to Tyre: Will not the
coastlands shake at the sound of your fall, when the wounded groan, when
slaughter is made in the midst of you? 16Then all the princes of the sea will step down from their
thrones, and remove their robes, and strip off their embroidered garments; they
will clothe themselves with trembling; they will sit upon the ground and
tremble every moment, and be appalled at you. 17And they will raise a lamentation over you, and say to
you, 'How you have vanished from the seas, O city renowned, that was mighty on
the sea, you and your inhabitants, who imposed your terror on all the mainland!
18Now the isles
tremble on the day of your fall; yea, the isles that are in the sea are
dismayed at your passing.' 19"For
thus says the Lord GOD: When I make you a city laid waste, like the cities that
are not inhabited, when I bring up the deep over you, and the great waters
cover you, 20then I
will thrust you down with those who descend into the Pit, to the people of old,
and I will make you to dwell in the nether world, among primeval ruins, with
those who go down to the Pit, so that you will not be inhabited or have a place
in the land of the living. 21I
will bring you to a dreadful end, and you shall be no more; though you be
sought for, you will never be found again, says the Lord GOD."

26:1-28:19
Oracle Against Tyre
26:1-21 Tyre is to
be destroyed by Nebuchadrezzar; but as God’s Instrument (Nebuchadnezzar).
This oracle is in four divisions each beginning with “Thus says the Lord God.”
(vv. 3,7,15,19).
26:1-6 God Passes judgment on Tyre: For
its failure to aid its ally Jerusalem (Jer. 27:3) and for its inordinate pride
(28:2-10).
v. 1. The text says it is in the eleventh
year so also does the text in the Brenton translation of the LXX say the Eleventh
year but the OARSV says the LXX says the Twelth Year which seems to be in error
as is their dating. (should be 588/7 BCE see Note to Part i Ch. 1); ending also
in a negotiated settlement (29:18).
Tyre finally fell to Alexander the Great in 332 BCE. It then became a place for the
spreading of nets, and the trading system of the Babylonians was the subject of
the ongoing system from Daniel chapter 2 (F027ii, iii, iv, v, vi, vii, viii, ix, x, xi and is
destroyed in xii, xiii) by
Messiah, and here from the prophecies of the Satanic system over chapters 26-32
in Ezekiel Parts VII and VIII and onwards to the Messiah. God says it is to
fall (vv. 3-4).
v. 4 The
word Rock in Hebrew is a play on the
word Tyre which also can be read as “rock”
26:7-14
v. 14
(compare vv. 4-5)
26:15-18 Lamentation
of the princes of the sea refers to the Phoenicean trade alliance in league
with Tyre. It also can refer to the elohim of the Fallen Host.
26:19-21 This
text refers onwards to the Messiah and the loyal Host and refers to the
destruction of Tyre as the city of Satan, King
of Tyre, the God of this world (2Cor. 4:4) when he is cast to the pit. Some
say Sheol but here it is of Tartaros (cf. 31:15-18) by the Loyal Host under
Messiah (cf. Isa. 14:15) (#080; and F066v).
Chapter
27
1The word of the
LORD came to me: 2"Now
you, son of man, raise a lamentation over Tyre, 3and say to Tyre, who dwells at the entrance to the sea,
merchant of the peoples on many coastlands, thus says the Lord GOD: "O
Tyre, you have said, 'I am perfect in beauty.' 4Your borders are in the heart of the seas; your builders
made perfect your beauty. 5They
made all your planks of fir trees from Senir; they took a cedar from Lebanon to
make a mast for you. 6Of
oaks of Bashan they made your oars; they made your deck of pines from the
coasts of Cyprus, inlaid with ivory. 7Of fine embroidered linen from Egypt was your sail, serving
as your ensign; blue and purple from the coasts of Eli'shah was your awning. 8The inhabitants of Sidon and
Arvad were your rowers; skilled men of Zemer were in you, they were your
pilots. 9The elders
of Gebal and her skilled men were in you, caulking your seams; all the ships of
the sea with their mariners were in you, to barter for your wares. 10"Persia and Lud and Put
were in your army as your men of war; they hung the shield and helmet in you;
they gave you splendor. 11The
men of Arvad and Helech were upon your walls round about, and men of Gamad were
in your towers; they hung their shields upon your walls round about; they made
perfect your beauty. 12"Tarshish
trafficked with you because of your great wealth of every kind; silver, iron,
tin, and lead they exchanged for your wares. 13Javan, Tubal, and Meshech traded with you; they exchanged
the persons of men and vessels of bronze for your merchandise. 14Beth-togar'mah exchanged for
your wares horses, war horses, and mules. 15The men of Rhodes traded with you; many coastlands were
your own special markets, they brought you in payment ivory tusks and ebony. 16Edom trafficked with you
because of your abundant goods; they exchanged for your wares emeralds, purple,
embroidered work, fine linen, coral, and agate. 17Judah and the land of Israel traded with you; they
exchanged for your merchandise wheat, olives and early figs, honey, oil, and
balm. 18Damascus
trafficked with you for your abundant goods, because of your great wealth of
every kind; wine of Helbon, and white wool, 19and wine from Uzal they exchanged for your wares; wrought
iron, cassia, and calamus were bartered for your merchandise. 20Dedan traded with you in
saddlecloths for riding. 21Arabia
and all the princes of Kedar were your favored dealers in lambs, rams, and
goats; in these they trafficked with you. 22The traders of Sheba and Ra'amah traded with you; they
exchanged for your wares the best of all kinds of spices, and all precious
stones, and gold. 23Haran,
Canneh, Eden, Asshur, and Chilmad traded with you. 24These traded with you in choice garments, in clothes of
blue and embroidered work, and in carpets of colored stuff, bound with cords
and made secure; in these they traded with you. 25The ships of Tarshish traveled for you with your
merchandise. "So you were filled and heavily laden in the heart of the
seas. 26Your rowers
have brought you out into the high seas. The east wind has wrecked you in the
heart of the seas. 27Your
riches, your wares, your merchandise, your mariners and your pilots, your
caulkers, your dealers in merchandise, and all your men of war who are in you,
with all your company that is in your midst, sink into the heart of the seas on
the day of your ruin. 28At
the sound of the cry of your pilots the countryside shakes, 29and down from their ships come
all that handle the oar. The mariners and all the pilots of the sea stand on
the shore 30and wail
aloud over you, and cry bitterly. They cast dust on their heads and wallow in
ashes; 31they make
themselves bald for you, and gird themselves with sackcloth, and they weep over
you in bitterness of soul, with bitter mourning. 32In their wailing they raise a lamentation for you, and
lament over you: 'Who was ever destroyed like Tyre in the midst of the sea? 33When your wares came from the
seas, you satisfied many peoples; with your abundant wealth and merchandise you
enriched the kings of the earth. 34Now
you are wrecked by the seas, in the depths of the waters; your merchandise and
all your crew have sunk with you. 35All
the inhabitants of the coastlands are appalled at you; and their kings are
horribly afraid, their faces are convulsed. 36The merchants among the peoples hiss at you; you have come
to a dreadful end and shall be no more for ever.'"
Intent of Chapter 27
27:1-36
Lamentation over Tyre
Here we see that the oracle and lamentation is referring
to Satan and Prince or King of Tyre by its direct application to Chapter 28.
The “I am perfect” refers to 28:2-10. The system and city was part of the
Phoenician empire and the royal purple dye was its chief product and the word
Phoenicia is the Greek word for purple. So also the word Canaan also means purple (see also OARSV n). The symbolism means
the battle for the rulership of the earth as Morning Star (see #223) and also the
destiny of Messiah from Num. 24:17; Rev. 2:28 (F066). Senir is Mt. Hermon where the host under
Satan descended (see also Deut. 3:9).
Bashan is east of the Sea of Galilee. Elishah is thought to represent Cyprus (cf OARSV n.) or Aeolis
(Bullinger note v. 7 below). Arvad like Tyre was an island city two
miles off shore. Gebal was later known as Byblos.
27:10-25a The text is regarded as a prose intrusion into the
lament over Tyre but it is rather an important development of the text
developing for ch. 28 and the dealing with Satan as Covering Cherub, as is Isa.
Ch. 14. The destruction of the satanic merchant system is developed further in
Ezekiel and the prophets and in F066iii, iv and v.
27:10-11 Tyre’s Mercenaries included from this text: Persia, Put
and Lud. Lud is often identified with Lydia in Asia Minor (Gen. 10:13; but see
30:1-5). See also the Sons of Ham (No. 045A)
and, also :
Cush (No. 045B)
Mizraim (No. 045C)
Phut (Put) (No.045D) Located
to North Africa. Some locate it to Cyrene east of Lybia but it is far more
widespread.
Canaan (No. 045E)
Helech is thought possibly to be Cilicia.
Gamad is uncertain; it is thought that the word might perhaps
be read as Gomerim and hence Japheth Part II Gomer (No. 046B);
these people thus being the Cimmerians in Cappadocia.
27:12-25a Tyre’s commercial empire is described from West to East
Tarshish (Jer. 10:9 n.); Javan – Ionians (see #046E)
as Ionian Greeks (Gen. 10:2), Tubal (#046F) and
Meshech (No. 046G) see
38:1-9 n.; Beth-Togarmah (see 38:1-9 n.
(see also Sons of Hn (No. 046A1) and
also #046B). So also
from South to North: Helbon –a wine
centre 13 miles north of Damascus. Southwest
to northeast: (Uzal Modern Sana
in Yemen; Dedan in West Central Arabia.; Sheba
in Southwest Arabia; Haran on the
Balikh River in Mesopotamia (Gen, 11:31-32); Eden in Assyrian records Bit-
Adini, the Beth-eden of Am. 1:5 and Canneh
South east of Haran; Asshur South of
Nineveh; Chilmad (an unidentified
Mesoptamian city). Calamus, a sweet cane (Jer. 6:20) being used for oil and sacrifice.
27:25b-36 The verses continue verses 1-9. The conclusion of the
chapter in these verses likens the trading empire of Satan unto a ship in the
high seas that is destroyed with all its goods. This section prepares us to go
on into chapter 28 for the destruction of Satan as anointed covering cherub and
is recapatitulated in Revelation over F066v and the collapse
of Babylon and the trading empire of the Beast.
Chapter 28
1The word of the
LORD came to me: 2"Son
of man, say to the prince of Tyre, Thus says the Lord GOD: "Because your
heart is proud, and you have said, 'I am a god, I sit in the seat of the gods,
in the heart of the seas,' yet you are but a man, and no god, though you
consider yourself as wise as a god-- 3you are indeed wiser than Daniel; no secret is hidden from
you; 4by your wisdom
and your understanding you have gotten wealth for yourself, and have gathered
gold and silver into your treasuries; 5by your great wisdom in trade you have increased your
wealth, and your heart has become proud in your wealth-- 6therefore thus says the Lord
GOD: "Because you consider yourself as wise as a god, 7therefore, behold, I will bring
strangers upon you, the most terrible of the nations; and they shall draw their
swords against the beauty of your wisdom and defile your splendor. 8They shall thrust you down into
the Pit, and you shall die the death of the slain in the heart of the seas. 9Will you still say, 'I am a
god,' in the presence of those who slay you, though you are but a man, and no
god, in the hands of those who wound you? 10You shall die the death of the uncircumcised by the hand
of foreigners; for I have spoken, says the Lord GOD." 11Moreover the word of the LORD
came to me: 12"Son
of man, raise a lamentation over the king of Tyre, and say to him, Thus says
the Lord GOD: "You were the signet of perfection, full of wisdom and
perfect in beauty. 13You
were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering,
carnelian, topaz, and jasper, chrysolite, beryl, and onyx, sapphire, carbuncle,
and emerald; and wrought in gold were your settings and your engravings. On the
day that you were created they were prepared. 14With an anointed guardian cherub I placed you; you were on
the holy mountain of God; in the midst of the stones of fire you walked. 15You were blameless in your
ways from the day you were created, till iniquity was found in you. 16In the abundance of your trade
you were filled with violence, and you sinned; so I cast you as a profane thing
from the mountain of God, and the guardian cherub drove you out from the midst
of the stones of fire. 17Your
heart was proud because of your beauty; you corrupted your wisdom for the sake
of your splendor. I cast you to the ground; I exposed you before kings, to
feast their eyes on you. 18By
the multitude of your iniquities, in the unrighteousness of your trade you
profaned your sanctuaries; so I brought forth fire from the midst of you; it
consumed you, and I turned you to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all who
saw you. 19All who
know you among the peoples are appalled at you; you have come to a dreadful end
and shall be no more for ever." 20The word of the LORD came to me: 21"Son of man, set your
face toward Sidon, and prophesy against her 22and say, Thus says the Lord GOD: "Behold, I am
against you, O Sidon, and I will manifest my glory in the midst of you. And
they shall know that I am the LORD when I execute judgments in her, and
manifest my holiness in her; 23for
I will send pestilence into her, and blood into her streets; and the slain
shall fall in the midst of her, by the sword that is against her on every side.
Then they will know that I am the LORD. 24"And for the house of Israel there shall be no more a
brier to prick or a thorn to hurt them among all their neighbors who have treated
them with contempt. Then they will know that I am the Lord GOD. 25"Thus says the Lord GOD:
When I gather the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are
scattered, and manifest my holiness in them in the sight of the nations, then
they shall dwell in their own land which I gave to my servant Jacob. 26And they shall dwell securely
in it, and they shall build houses and plant vineyards. They shall dwell
securely, when I execute judgments upon all their neighbors who have treated
them with contempt. Then they will know that I am the LORD their God."
Intent of Chapter 28
28:1-10 Many scholars use this text as a
reference to the Canaanite Dan’el and cross reference the text to 14:12-23 n.,
in which Dan’el is the wise judge of widows and orphans, seemingly to avoid the
concept that elohim of Israel (Ps. 45:6-7) is actually speaking to Ezekiel.
However, there is no doubt that God is referring in the text of 14:12-23 to
the prophet Daniel with Noah and Job as key prophets and righteous judges of
Scripture. Daniel the prophet was taken captive with the party of Jehoiakin in
the third year of his reign 606/5 BCE (cf. OARSV n), (perhaps even before the
battle of Carchemish) and taken to Babylon and along with Ezekiel and perhaps
even ahead of his group as the first party of royal and noble captives for
re-education in Babylon (along with some Temple goods), as we see in Daniel in
the Introduction and Chapter 1 (F027) and eleven
years before this prophecy. Daniel was, by 604 BCE in the second year of
Nebuchadnezzar, a great administrative power and renowned prophet in Babylon.
In 604 BCE Daniel had gained great prestige for advising the king over his
dream and saving the life of the Chaldean wise men. He was made ruler over the
province of Babylon and chief prefect over its wise men (Dan. 2:46-49). This
event was in the years well before before Ezekiel was called by God and
appointed prophet. Ezekiel was the local priest to the captives in Babylon. It
is inconceivable that Ezekiel would not have known of him and the events in
Daniel as they unfolded. God is speaking to them both and to Jeremiah over the
same period.
As we see from the text, the prince of Tyre sat in the
seat of the elohim, or gods. This was the council of the elohim we see in Ps.
82:1-6. Yet God states they shall die like men and fall like any prince (Ps.
82:7; Isa. 14:13-14). Satan had told mankind that Spirit could not die; which
was a blatant lie, as Christ was to show the world in 30 CE. Satan is to die in 3027 and be resurrected by
Messiah for the Judgment (see Judgment of the Demons (No.
080)).
28:6-7 Satan as prince of Tyre here, had been made elohim (2Cor.
4:4) and Morning Star of this Earth (see Lucifer, Light Bearer and
Morning Star (No. 223)). He made himself as the Most High (The First Commandment: The
Sin of Satan (No. 153)). He was then told that strangers would entrain
on him and his realm and defile its, and his, splendour (v. 7). We had seen
from 27:25-33 how Satan enriched the kings of the earth and corrupted them from
the Laws of God, but at his end the people and the merchants will hiss at him
and at his end at the end of the Millennium, he shall be no more forever. Now
we see what he was, and how he will be no more. Isa. 14:13-14 states he tried
to ascend above the stars of God and he tried to make himself as the Most High
God and he was thrown to the earth and sent to the pit and then he was to be
released and killed like any man and the being Satan or Azazel will be no more
(see #080). The nations
will turn against Satan and its religious system by which the demons controlled
the earth. This is explained by Daniel over the 12 chapters and the epilogue.
Ezekiel adds to the previous major prophets in that regard (30:10-11). This
text shows he is to come to an ignominous end and the death of the uncircumcised
(31:14-18; see The Last Phase of the World Systems in Revelation chapters
18-22; F066v).
28:11-19 Lamentation over
the king of Tyre Satan was created perfect and the example of perfect
wisdom and beauty. This is drawn out in the story of the creation of Adam in
Eden. He was also in Eden, the Garden of God (see also The Doctrine of
Original Sin Part I: No. 246).
As covering cherub, being placed with the other covering
cherub, as an elohim, he also wore the ephod (see also Ex. 28:17-20) as his
covering on the day of his creation on the Holy Mountain of God and he walked
in the stones of fire (v. 14). He was blameless in all his ways until iniquity
was found in him (v. 15). (See also (Rev. 4:1-6; 21:15-21.)
In the abundance of his trade he was filled with violence
and he sinned. God cast him as profane from the Mountain of God. Satan’s
rebellion and deceit cost humans access to the garden and the tree of life also
(Gen. 3:24).
28:16 The Mountain of God is often reduced to a Canaanite myth referring to Mount
Sapon which is modern Jebel Aqra’ north of Ugarit. Its intent here is as the
Throne of God.
28:20-23 Oracle Against Sidon
Sidon is north of Tyre and an ally of Jerusalem against Nebuchadrezzar (Jer.
27:3)
22-23 (comp. 20:41; 36:23)
28:24-26 Restoration
of Israel
Some scholars consider this an editorial addition,
concluding the first section of the oracles concerning foreign nations. It sits
as a simple summation of the prophetic section.
28:24. Comp. Num.33:55.
28:25-26 Comp. 34:28; Jer. 23:6; Lev.
25:19.
This ends the text with the restoration of Israel and
takes the prophecy to the end of the Restoration of Messiah in the Last Days (No. 282E) and
